The resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead is a complete game-changer. Because of the resurrection, we have hope; not just for this life, but for the life to come!
To maintain the unity that God is using to make himself known, you must mature. If you want to mature--and you should!-- you need community that speaks that truth in love to each other.
You cant mature as a Christ outside of community.
The power of the Holy Spirit is necessary. If the church is going to make the wisdom of God know we must be strengthened with power by the Holy Spirit. If we are not, we will never endure.
The church is vitally important. God uses the church to reveal the mystery of his eternal plan in Christ.
When we forget where we came from, where we are, and how we got here, it often displays itself through hostility and discord in our relationships. But as followers of Christ, we are being built into the dwelling place of God, bought together in peace and unity by the blood of Christ. Because we we often forget to remember, it causes hostility and fracturing--even in the church. This leads to a poor witness of the gospel. Therefore, Paul implores the Ephesians to remember. If we forget, we turn the church into something that doesn’t look at all like God’s willing place.
